Chips?! Like Doritos or Pringles?
Nope, no one's putting gold in those chips!
Computer chips! That's were the gold is at, specifically in them thar CPU chips. Those gold plated fingers of Pentium chips are rich in gold concentrate.
Man oh man! If I had the time, I would sift through craigslist under the Free section and get me a ton of computer chips. Then, I would get me a pair of nippers and trim off these CPU connection fingers. If I can collect a bowl full of them, I would melt them in a crucible and fish out the gold. Yep, that's what I would do alrightee!
Another place to find 'em shiny metals is in those cell phones. Not so sure about the iPhone, but since it's pretty much a computer, I think it's worth look into breaking one. Not my own of course, someone else' I guess, one that doesn't work anymore. I'm sure laptops, other mobile and electronic devices have their own share of gold in them. It's just a matter of will, creativity and persistence of getting the yellow stuff out.
Gold price is scary high, and the demand is ridiculous. So I guess the best places to find gold is to find them in electronics.
Happy hunting!
